I looped out again grrr!!!!

Re: I looped out again grrr!!!!
I think if the FI cage had a bar that looped under the motor and connected the sides it wouldn't have broken the mount. I was covering my rear brake and just clutched it up way to hard from almost a stop it happened so fast I was on the ground before I knew something wasn't right. worst part is, is it was so dark no one saw it. Do caged bikes always roll up on the clipons?
Also my rear suspesion is set pretty soft so I get alot of movement do you guys set the rear stiffer? it feels like its almost bouncing when I give a light tap to the brake and it moves alot if I give it more brake

For people learning the brake, you don't remember it when the bike suddenly slips behind bp. I remember when I was learning that I'd think I was doing pretty good right around bp but then suddenly I'd give it a bit too much gas and your brain goes, "OH ****" and you just forget about the brake and try to protect yourself...

Re: I looped out again grrr!!!!
2 things: first, when you violently flip a bike more **** gets broken than just lowsiding at 60mph....
slow 6ft drops on a bike destroy parts fast.
secondly, i've never seen an FI cage that looks like that. where is the sticker that says FI and where are the signature FI silders they use on all the cages? that CAN"T be an FI cage.

Re: I looped out again grrr!!!!
if he violently lost control like that a 12 bar won't stop ****, it'll just hit and bypass and launch the bike.
so ya, go get a 12 bar and video tape that ****.

Re: I looped out again grrr!!!!
that's weird...i'll have to call tim and ask him. that is definately not the cage he sold me for my f2. Mine was the standard silder with a hoop that attaches to it. pretty much the same thing as an F4i cage.
and ya, you can't use that mount behind the head, that brace moves easily and it snaps. my FI cage for my f2 that tim sent me looks teh same as for the f4i, and it doesn't use that garbage mount behind the head that this one does.
that is why i said it can't be FI. because it looks nothing like my f2's cage and i know tim and tim wouldn't use that crappy mount that is known to brake.
that being said, dropping a bike from a 12 is the hardest thing you can do to a bike. highsiding circles destroyed more things for me than when i crashed a highspeed coaster.

Re: I looped out again grrr!!!!
he's a really good guy. I ran FI cages on my 929 for 3 years. i had a super violent rev-limiter coaster go bad and it cracked the right side motor mount on my 929. since i was running his cage he welded up my frame and built me a new motor mount and gave me a new cage.
that rear mount on those f2/3 break really easily. It's only a think piece of steel holding that mount to the head so it flexes and snaps that soft aluminum mount.
