Question share your experiences with tygershark cages.

Ive been posting in a thread for the past few days talking about cages for the 05-06 636. I dont kno what to get for my bike. I know the si cage is money. But i heard the tyger stunt cage with the spring loaded sliders are even better.

If you have any experince with a tygershark cage post up. Are they better then si or no??

stunt gen 1, but i still dont think the newer designs would keep this from happening either. the problem is the sliders stick out too far which makes them take most of the impact and the mounting tab on the f4i doesnt have much reinforcement. one of my boys had a tygershark "looking" cage with spring loaded sliders in 3 locations all sticking out evenly to spread the impact (im guessing that was the logic behind it) and that thing was bullet proof, he didnt know who made it because it came on the bike, im still trying to find who manufactured it.

Re: share your experiences with tygershark cages.

I've broken 1 stator side cover with my Tygershark cage after I lowsided a highchair circle, but I let my cage get pretty loose. I've since always kept it good and tight and not had one problem. I absolutely love the cage, and I wreck every other wheelie

so your saying you didnt tighten up the cage all the way thats why you cracked a stator cover?

On another note, after owning this cage for awhile is it worth the money or should i just get a si? (in your opinion)

the only other cage ive owned is a FI and it did its job perfectly, but my bike didnt hit the ground as much.
tyger sharks come with a lifetime warranty so i guess they're worth the duckets, but i dont think that covers the pucks (ive always sold my bikes with the broken/bent cage after i replace the motor so i never found out).

Yea, my left side was loose and it let it flex and hit the stator cover.

I've owned 3 other cages (905, MXD full cage, and MXD 3 point) and I'd take the Tygershark over any of them. The MXD full cage is akin to the SI cage. I wrote about the differences and reasons I prefer the Tygershark cage in a thread a month or two ago.
