Re: Steering staggered wheelies?

Yeah I am cause you only got half of what you said is right. You have to be at or behind BP to steer wheelies correctly. That other part of going fast has nothing to do with it. Nyrocketkid has pretty good throttle control. From what he is saying he needs to go down more. Yes it will make it harder to steer but at the same time having a high psi will create your own crown causing a wobble.

Um. Well sense my bike redlines around 14.5 that hard to do. Secondly why would I want to ride a wheelie at 15K. Third its kind of hard to ride one at 15k if I'm going slow.

Re: Steering staggered wheelies?

Well I went for alittle ride tonight and I don't like my PSI at 30. I definaly prefer closer to 25. I'm getting the feel of steering more and more. I'm getting real good on the throttle. It seemed very twitchie at first compaired to my F2 but I'm getting very smooth.

Re: Steering staggered wheelies?

low tire pressure and a fast wheelie can cause wobbles ....

high tire pressure and a slow wheelie can cause wobbles....

chopping the throttle can cause wobbles......

going to fast for the gear your in can cause revlimmiter wheelies but not wobbles......lol

sorry kelm but maybe it's not quite time for you to be coaching yet....

you still cool though

Re: Steering staggered wheelies?

Ya thats really all I need is more practice. I'm trying more and more every day and getting alot better at them. I'm also getting smoother and getting my bike to the point where I can stop picking up speed during a wheelie. The one problem I keep having though is my left foot keeps wanting to slip off the rear peg. I bought front and rear ESD stunt pegs so I think those should help with that.

Re: Steering staggered wheelies?

when I started I would always go the opposite direction I wanted to .. I would always go towards somthing I didnt want to hit.. I found it was becuase i was watching the light poll or parked car that i wanted to avoid.. And if I looked away from it I would go that direction.. just look where you want to go and some how it just works it self out.

Re: Steering staggered wheelies?

I went out today practicing alittle more and I'm definalty getting it. I'm getting smoother, I'm getting alot better at steering them, I'm also getting good at keeping the wheelie at a steady speed and a few of them I started to slow down alittle. My throttle controll has gotten alot better too. I'm getting smooth.
I did a couple standups today for close to a 1/2mile. And a couple small turns during that.
Thanks alot for the help guys.
