Your other option is getting a 10-40mm moose riser they work real good and only cost about 40$.... I did it on an 04-05 GSXR cause the fat bars hit the top of the fork.....

if you want 2 things to happen: destroys your bikes geometry so it won't stoppie or handle right; and make it look like a chopper.

dropping forks will make that bike drive like a chopper...super heavy and hard in corners.

that's a huge drop. Do your clamps have just a single bolt in them? if so, you just mount htem a little bit on the backside of the clamp and your bars will clear the tops of the forks. they will sit right behind the rebound/preload adjusters. ingenuity

just started it and got the mounts drilled on... i lowered the forks a tiny bit and put 2 washers to space it and its a done deal... i just was getting every thing ready to be put back together and i need longer front brake lines... also in the throttle control what did you do with that tab that holds the throttle/kill switch box in position.. did you drill a little hole in the bar so it doesnt twist on ya?

yes drill a hole. and lowering the fork legs lowered down do not feel bad at all.

Re: need some help with my db bar install

stock lines should fit just fine. my bars are super high compaired to the norm and i use stock lines and it fits just fine. you have to unbolt it from the triple and let it free and it will work just fine.
