Re: exaust temp

should be good...there might be higher temp paint, used for BBQ......think it might go up to 1600 not sure though....yeah now I remember, they used it when I previously had some exhaust work done. Was working on a dual exhaust setup and this shop fabed up tube and installed a flowmaster exhaust. Well anyone with flows knows they look like **** five miles after running on a new muffler so they paint all their exhaust setups with high temp paint like this. .The paint held up to the hot exhaust and they use it on all the exhaust applications they install.....so I assume it would work fine in yours.. Good luck!

Re: exaust temp

i used the same paint, automotive engine paint works good. read the back though, usualy you have to cure the paint so it can withstand 1200+ degrees. usualy they paint them then put it in a power coat type over, in the ghetto world, u can usualy just put it on and run the bike to see how the paint holds. but its going to smell, trust me.

Re: exaust temp

theres actualy a realy cheap way of gettin the headers and exhaust done professionaly, i gotta ask one of my teachers about it. but we used them in our dyno program at school, friggen you could touch those headers a minute after a dyno run and they would be ice cold. if u want the info pm me and i can get the site for you. they are the utter shiznit:YEAH
