Re: Concrete or Asphalt?

besides, asphalt is waaaay cheaper than concrete, and if the sub base is prepped right, you won't get dips after it's paved. i build roads

Re: Concrete or Asphalt?

what do you do for a living? that's a couple hundred grand in cost there.

also, concrete is a permanent structure, you're property tax will sky rocket with that much concrete.

Re: Concrete or Asphalt?

i am a finish motorgrader operator, over 12yrs. exp. but i run all equipment. since i started having kids, i took a break from the big co.'s & i work w/ my dad, we have a small construction co. what he wants done for the most part is cake, you can rent anything, then you sub out the asphalt work to a paving co. that junk is too hot to mess with! esp. here in fl.

Red face Re: Concrete or Asphalt?

concrete for sure ...it will last longer, cost more, but it will not hold dust that will wash out with the rain. also the bad spots are hidden on asphalt, the concrete u can see........better....just do not go crazy with the tar joints. just think of your fav stunt spot ..... what is it ??????
it is concrete 60% of the time.

keep up the good work....soon it will be a real sport!!! (i.e. x-games,stunt-wars,one hand races,cash,girls,drugs.. ..& so on.....
see u at the mud pit!!
