Re: Dual Calipers or Junction Valve

You could link it by having a dual banjo by your handbrake master, then one line to the adapter on the footbrake and one line to the extra caliper

Then you won´t get 2 calipers for the footbrake, wich imo would be overkill

Re: Dual Calipers or Junction Valve

in a non professionals opinion....i have never used a hohey dual caliper...i want one cuz its pimp, but its pricey so who knows when ill get one...

currently run a ft adapter with magura 13mm with stock pads...I HAVE NO SOFT SPOTS OR SPONGINESS from switching from foot to handbrake...i always have constant pressure...works good for me...IF U BLEED UR **** RIGHT, u will not have that dead spot. thats why im not rushed for a dual caliper

im sure OMR doesnt have that issue either...just blled good...if ur broke run the adapter, if u got money might as well and get the DC

The performance of an adaptor can be increased by drilling out the hole that goes from were the res' was (adaptor now is) to the main piston . I have found there is a wide range of diameter holes at this piont to small and you can lack power

Re: Dual Calipers or Junction Valve

tap a pipe fitting into the rear brake cylinder for a ghetto adapter setup.....no need to waste $ on a kit.

I thought of that too but since it still connected by two banjo bolts the pressure from pushing on the FB would still run up the line then back down the HB line?? or is the a valve that prevents it from running back up the line??

it will work, when you push the fb the hole back to the hb is closed

+1

i run the hohey, would like the new FT double daul piston setup, but beleve with good bleeding and a good master it doesnt matter so much.

only dif is the release of the foot presure when you apply the handbrake while still on the foot to switch.

i know some damn good riders with adapters though,so i think its pref
