Re: Dual Calipers or Junction Valve
my dual caliper set up is independently ran. HB goes to 1 caliper and the foot brake goes to the other caliper.
should i leave it set up like i have it and get 2 double banjo bolts and a jumper? so it will still be independently feed, with a jumper in between.
or
should i do the above ^^^^ and change my current set up, and run my HB line to my rear master with a double banjo, then a line from my rear master to the first caliper with a double banjo and a jumper to the next one?
or doesn't it matter??? it would be easier to leave it as is and just add a jumper.

if you plan on running the jumper set up, you use the adapter at the rear master, then use a double banjo on the main rear caliper (stock line from the rear master to the main caliper) and run a short jumper to the secondary caliper, get it?

Re: Dual Calipers or Junction Valve
should look something like this-
HB Master------------Rear Master w/adapter-----(stock line to rear caliper)-----Rear Caliper w/double banjo-----(short jumper line)-----Secondary Caliper
HB Master------------Rear Master w/adapter-----(stock line to rear caliper)-----Rear Caliper w/double banjo-----(short jumper line)-----Secondary Caliper

Re: Dual Calipers or Junction Valve
ok i am confused everyone was running dual caliper a while ago so that in case of a wreck they would still have on or the other rear brake in you connect the two then your back to if you wreck and break something no more rear brake is that right?

Re: Dual Calipers or Junction Valve
who gives a ****, how many people have you seen wreck and **** off their rear brake? and for that matter most of your braking comes from your front brakes anyways.

Re: Dual Calipers or Junction Valve
even if the rearset brakes, you can tie it off with a zip tie and still use your handbrake with the adaptor or without.
i have a seperate hohey setup.
hb with 80" line to daulpiston caliper, love it with the brembo hb,mad power!
i also like the no fade from foot to hand, its pimp
i also have several friends that ride with adaptors and dont complain,i think alot of it is how good you bleed the system and get all the air out.
ive tried a bunch of friends setups and some with the same equipment and totaly dif feals to them, so if its to soft rebleed it first and start with the HB off and rotate it around while bleeding it to break loose all the micro bubbles stuck in the seals and corners.
when you put it back on and have it bleed and all solid fealing, zip tie it fully squeezed hard for the night with your resivor cap off.
this will allow any left over air in your system time to rise over night.
cut the zip tie the next day, reinstall your cap(lol) and give it a few pumps to let it settle and go!
you'll be amazed at the dif it makes tying it off overnight open!!!
i got that tip from a mechanic on team yamahas crew,he said they do it to all the race bikes to get the solid feal back in the new brake systems.
goodluck

Re: Dual Calipers or Junction Valve
i might just sell my current DC, & go straight to the HOHEY 4 PISTON DC setup instead.

Re: Dual Calipers or Junction Valve
I can tell everyone this much; I've sold quite a few HoHey Dual Caliper 2 and 4 piston setups and I have never heard a complaint from any customer once they got the system bled correctly; I have had a few complaints from people running the GP Tech and Full-Throttle adapters though because of the initial sponginess when you go from the foot to handbrake or vice versa. Obviously quite a few guys run the adapters, but if you are looking for the BEST option I would say go HoHey dual caliper setup.
