talking about welding.... is welding aluminum much harder then regular welding??

I'm being charged $80 to weld 2 cracks on my subframe

ummm a shop prob gets 65 an hour or so for alum or more its not nec harder you just have more prep you have to do to the metal and its a slower process than just layin down a fat bead with a stick or mig machine

those stands are like $80 a peice and i made a front and a rear in about three or four hours so i made $40 an hour while i was making them

The trick to welding Galvonized is drinkin milk before you weld it and it supposebly coats your stomach and the fumes wont make you sick.....But who knows if thats true or not maybe we should email mythbusters lol
