clip ons vs. db bars?
probally a dumb ? but what does everyone perfer? seen alot of people talkin that db bars are the greatest thing.....but still see alot of people with clip ons...

I have the stock bars flipped, switched, and on top of the triple clamp. Would rather rock some FI clip on's but I'd like to compare them to moto bars for tucking through ability.

has anyone ever broke a set of db's? if you just buy the bar and make your own risers do you need to change the brake lines or anything?

i've heard the risers break first(i bent mine tring zeros)... and just rerout clutch and throtle cabels

you can bend them pretty easily, but buy your risers, and most likely you will need a longer front brake line.

Screw db's. They are so uncomfortable in ss and rl's. I love clip ons and i'm 6'1'' and have no issues at all with pullin thru.

Coming from a stand-point where I have both, I'ld have to say that I like clip-ons quite a bit more than DB's. I thought that I'ld like the DB's better originally. I learned BP whoolies w/ the DB's. Then, after learning BP, I tried my friends 636 w/ clip-ons and loved it. At first, I thought it was just cause it was a 636, then I did some BP's on my R1 and liked it way more again. So, either my FZ-1 is just such a pig of a bike that DB's won't even help or I just like clip-ons better.
