you've apparently never rode a bike til it's out of gas or you wouldn't have said that.....it just sputters and falls down. i've rode mine out almost a half mile past hte first signs of sputtering before i lost enough power for it to finally fall. like i said, it just sputters...not like it locks the rear wheel up.

Re: longest highway wheelies....anyone still hittin the interstate?
I think I'm starting to become the old grumpy guy haha I dunno
Stock clipons, full fairing, no hand brake, old school staggered, hanging off the back, 60mph, rotor glowing red like a ring of nuclear waste, your arms and back are on ******* fire, starting fights between couples in passing cars when chicks ask their boyfriends why he can't do that on the very same bike, chilling for miles in heavy traffic... is what gets my attention. Better yet Kevin and Scott in early vids foot nowhere near the brake, splitting cars on the dotted line all day long.
Only thing that gets my attention quicker is sitdowns and Dennis is still the man.
Your 11 miles is impressive.
I think I'm getting grumpy because nearly every ride here in Atl is 7 guys on big dirtbikes standing on the seat 25mph through town for 4 hours... I quit trying to get them to ride the interstate anymore it's a losing argument. I have to ride downtown blocks on a bone stock G1k, stock gearing. I appreciate stepping up my game but damn.
Come to think of it, when we are on the freeway they barely even ride. On the Superbikes episode filmed here there was one bike on one wheel in a pack of 50..

Re: longest highway wheelies....anyone still hittin the interstate?
My longest was about a mile and a half on my street legal motard. Pulled it up off a stoplight, shifted up to 3rd and just rode it out at about 40 (speedo rear 0 because it runs off the front wheel, lol) until I hit the next light (I think it is like 1.4 miles in my car). I would love to hit up the highway but my gearing is still a little off for that. Cruising at 65-ish puts me around 7k and is very buzzy

Re: longest highway wheelies....anyone still hittin the interstate?
and i know about mousetrap, bad electrical connection in a spreader caused my bike to lock up and break my back and pelvis. THAT is a mousetrap. never had that happen because of gas. i must have a superior f4i or something cause mine will just sputter for a while until i put it down.

Longest is about 3 1/2 - 4 miles staggered. Put it down cuz some idiot on another bike cut right in front of me and slowed down.
Not too many places in SD you can go for long distances without seein a cop or hittin a hard curve.
