Why would you want your idle that high?

oh, and dont forget... in order to get them that slow you have to run your idle at around 5K

my buddie runs the same thing on his 04.. i've been looking for a place that sells an 11 for the front but every place i e-mailed and called said they only go down to 14 then i called a custom sprocket place and they said will not make one because there isnt enough metal to make the sprocket strong enough and they crack when they're that small..

you know where i can get a -5 for an 01 600 w/ a 520 pitch?

Re: What gearing do u run 4 low idle speeds?

i have never once looked at my speedo while doing slow wheelies, most ppl dont even have guages on their stunt bikes. how fast youre going in mph is no gauge on how good youre doing. your buddies advice is off the mark. its not that much of a science to do slow wheelies that you need precise gearing and idle adjustments. its real simple, run whatever gearing you have cuz it dont make a difference. if you cant do it on stock gears you cant do it on any gears. turn your idle up to 3k if you cant catch it then just keep trying. once u get pretty good then you can decide what you prefer your idle at, i dont even know what mine is at. i just ride in the lot and turn it up and let it coast me till i feel its enough and then i ride. all the gearing **** is nonsense.

He's not trying to be an internet gangster. The guy from the sprocket shop was telling you the truth. If you don't want to go stock buy a drive kit with -1 in the front and +7ish in the rear. I made the squid mistake and went from stock to -1 in the front and +17 in the rear. And had no throttle control at all so now I have a +10 rear sprocket set on my bike and it's so sweet.

i was doing that then i had it up there and my bike bogged out and i slammed down pretty hard.. so i am trying to get a better gearing to stop my bike from bogging down again..

this is the first day of me ever trying to hit bp wheelies on my street bike.. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RdQB-cCyIe8
i didn't do it on purpose.. i have the video of my bike bogging and me almost wrecking from it
