I have tried a lot of exacto knives and stuff during my stint in college for commercial art and 15 years of tattooing. I found that a scalpel(sp) handle to work the best for me. It is narrow in my hand, easy to control, and just works much better for me.

Yea, what i tend to do is instead of have the thing flat and cut, i hold it up, and turn and move the peice im cutting while holding the blade still... works wounders for smooth round cutouts

Re: Rattle can "artists"....

I twist the scalpel in my fingers as I move it....trait I learned while tattooing with open tip tubes like with magnums and flat needle groups.

Makes those curves nice and smooth for me that way, like you say....whatever's clever!!

See when i do curves with flat tubes/ground i move my whole arm and twist a little bit in my fingers.... i see a lot of artists just move their wrist. But if you move your wrist, and stretch it as far as you can, you lose a steady contact, and have to pause to finish the line.

SPRAY PAINT

spray paint: this was a few cans of ace hardware $3.00 a can crap

more spray paint: this was $17 including tax of walmart $1 can blue, silver, black and clear, even the rims are done blue too. a few coats of each color then 4 coats of clear and 7 on body. 4 coats blue on the rims and 7 coats of clear
WALMART IS KING! BUT KEEP THAT SHAT AWAY FROM EXCESSIVE GASOLINE SPILLS
