Who works at a bike shop?

Re: Who works at a bike shop?
i got another one. just 3 days ago a new sales guy was pulling into the shop on one of the bikes. as soon as he enters the show room he hits the ramp and gets wisky throttle and gooses the bike. he pin balled off of 3 bikes before he layed it down. another rook ran over to help him and they tried lifting the bike. as soon as they did the guy that wrecked released the clutch and it jerked off to hit 3 more bikes in the showroom. all in all 7 bikes were wrecked and 1 totaled. the guy missed our limited edition r1 by an inch and a half.
the funny thing about it is that i perdicted the accident before it happend. he came into the showroom and i told my customer to look and i pointed so he was able to watch the whole thing. it was sweet as hell

Holy crap, that would tighten up the sphincter. We have an older tech (like 65) and he was working on a gixxer 1000 and was out running it pretty hard (customer said it wouldn't shift right when hammering gears) and he hard shifted 3 and the clutch cable snapped when he pulled it in (slamming the clutches shut). That thing stood about straight up and his eyes had to be 5 inches across. It was like a scene from who framed roger rabbit. That day the tech came in and told the service manager he will no longer test ride a rocket. Hahahaha

Re: Who works at a bike shop?
One of my favorites was we had a guy buy an R1 and left the parking lot looking very sketchy. Ten minutes later he walks back in the door with the clipon in his hand, said it just broke off at the corner and it caused him to wreck!! I laughed my *** off. He wanted Yamaha to warranty the whole thing and all kinds of craziness. I pretty much told him he was high and politely asked him to leave...... some people in this world. What is it about motorcycles/dealerships that brings out all of the craziest people EVER.
One thing I tell people is that I cater to the unemployed. Think about it. Who else wanders into a dealership in the middle of the afternoon for no reason......only the unemployed (Or retired).

Yeah, I have a number to a place that does ALL chinese parts so when people come in I have premade cards that say Chinese Takeout and the number so that they'll get the hell out. NO one realizes I put that on the card because It means Take it and get out

Re: Who works at a bike shop?
Man, I have that ALLLLLLLLL the time. I was selling a Gixxer750 the other day and I had a guy that looked like Don Johnson from Harley Davidson and the Marlboro Man tell me "that boy doesn't know what a 750 should feel like, I should let him ride my CB750 so he can really see." I stared at him for a minute to wait for the pause and hopefully hear "........NOT!" Never happened

Re: Who works at a bike shop?
:YEAH :YEAH Good for you, he deserved it. I had the EXACT same thing happen. A guy asked for a yamaha belt. I asked for what and he said "My yamaha, I just need a belt and I'm on my lunch". I got pissed, went back and grabbed a roadstar warrior belt ($400) and tossed it on the counter. I thought his head was going to explode. Then he is like "its for my snowmobile.".............

Re: Who works at a bike shop?
I have been doing that all day. If you're from indy you should make your way up to Elkhart/South Bend on Sept. first. My buddy owns a shop there and he is doing a charity ride. We'll do a stunt show and he's giving away a bunch of free ****.

Re: Who works at a bike shop?
It is actually Baird Motorcycles. It's like 3 blocks away from Northend. He does a lot of custom rockets and ****. From Chitown maybe 2 hours. It should be a good time. If he gets the parking lot we want it is big enough to fit 400 cars and we'll try to get a decent chunk of it.

Re: Who works at a bike shop?
OK. This is no lie. Ten seconds ago a kid comes in and is trying to finance a 2006 600rr. He ask me if it has a clutch and will it do a power wheelie. No lie! This **** just happened!

No, but he is trying on all kinds of gear. I am going to sell him everthing from boots to field armor! You know this field armor is a must for street riding! LOL!
