It was the same guy that told me the Pass Button on a GSXR changes the fuel and ignition curve to make it "pass" other riders....

Re: Who works at a bike shop?

I was the parts/service manager at a shop here, used to love it when people would come in with the Funny/easy fixes.... My bike won't start, did you pull in the clutch? You have to do that?

or on the newer suzuki's, my battery keeps dying...... are you leaving the key on? No, i turn it to park when i'm done riding, but then it won't start the next day......

Re: Who works at a bike shop?

i wouldnt take in anything over 10 years old unless it was immaculate.
If they insisted we worked on it.(wich is cool) I would double the labor rate.

also, i havent heard the dreaded chain/sprocket ordeal that I would get 20 questions on a day. They would get pissed when I wouldnt install a $25 non-oring chain on 15k+mile worn out sprockets.

I had a guy call me from the side of the road saying his bike will start, but not move, he finally gets it to me all pissed off, and he installed a front sprocket and it completely fell off, and was inside the cover still. haha.....damn, good times there.

Re: Who works at a bike shop?

anyone had a guy bring in a chopper and have you try and work on it?? now there is no repair manual for a chopper, and none of them are the same. i had to pull this guys back wheel and i had to take off the pulley, brake disc, caliper, and jack it way up after pulling the axle, cuz the damn fender wrapped around the tire so much, and he stuffed such a wide tire in the fender it rubbed on the wires to the turn signals... had to rewire them all, idiot!
