Why does everyone think and say that a busa will roll 210 stock out of the box? I mean look at the speedshootouts where the fastest unlimited CC bikes with dry shots are pushin like 220-240. So if it takes ****** turbos, nos, and all that **** to run that, then how the **** can some random joe buy a busa, roll out of the stealership and claim they hit over 200 through traffic.
im gonna change my r6 to KMH and take a picture of it and post it and pretend that i was going 200 on my stock 6

So you my friend, on an 02 gsxr 1000, which had carbs, and went almost 200, are a liar

One of my old friends had an R6 with schnit's headwork done on it and a couple other things. I used to have a blast taking that bike over to Fort Wayne and beating R1's with it.
Isn't Schnit's located in Decator or Fort Wayne? I can't really remember.

also, those posting, a speedo reading is inacurate as all get out.
only post registered/calibrated speeds:
for me, tony's 04 r1, stretched, schnit's headwork, full exhaust, remap and intake, 1 down 2 up (it's geared for 1/4 mile). It has a 100 shot of nitrous but this was not used for our all motor run.
calibrated 180mph flat on my final run. first 2 runs were 167 then 178. There was still 500rpm left on the motor that i couldn't pull. Next trip is with the nitrous to over-come the wind resistance. we are also going back to stock gearing for the speed run.
just for a compairson, we also ran 2 other mildly modded r1's of the same year. both with exhaust and a power comander, jason's was 168 and billy's was 164, both maxed out. so anyone that says a stock r1 will do 180 is bs'ing or just looking at the horribly inaccurate speedo.

If You Have The Tre Chip It Will Eliminate The Governor. And Its Not Carbed Even My 98 750 Was Fuel Injected. I Think That Was The First Year. And They Didnt Put Fuel Injection In 600's Until Maybe 01 But Im Not Sure About That And I Said It Was 20 Less So Thats Only 180 Anyhow Which Is Very Possible.

sucks that speedometers are Waaaaaaaaaaay off on stock bikes, even worse when you gear them. My gixxer 1k with quite a bit of work says 194 on a daily basis when i ride up 95 to work. My old roommate is a cop and i found threw many test runs that my speedo is 9.7% off, so figure i go about 175 every other day.

suzuki i know the 750 had FI in 98 till now
yamahas i think didnt go FI till 02 the r1 that is.. r6 was still carbd until late 03 i believe..
but suzuki was the first with FI

Thats what i was thinkin, my 99 r1 had carbs. Im not a huge suzuki fan, but the 02 i just painted had carbs and choke and everything
