My Buddy Had A 02 YZF 600 With The Banana Seat.. First Street Bike I Rode.. Rode It For Less Than 10 Minutes. It Was When I Lived Out In The Sticks For A Year.. Goin Around The Block I Tapped Out 3rd. Dint Wanna Shift Again. It Was FAST! Speedo Said 140. But I Guess Thats Inacurate.. But Damn Seemed Way Faster Than 130 In A Car. I Never Touched It Again.. Now On My F4i I Havent Been Faster Than 50. haha. Why Go Fast?

187 indicated, you weren't over 165 though. mine 05 hit 164, but i have 2bros exhaust instead of muzzy, and i have the lighter stock body pieces instead of fiberglass.
factory race team bikes in the supersport class wo'nt break 170.
and also, speedos are way off people. tony's r1 topped 189 (highest the speedo reads on the 04's, not sure about other years) and i was still in 3rd gear. i wasn't even close to 189 and it was reading that. mine 05 636 was registering in the 170's and i only hit 164.
a REAL 180 is a lot faster than you think. there was a very noticable difference in wind resistance and feel from my 170mph run on the r1 and my 180 mph run on the r1. i swore i was doing 200+ when i hit that 180 mark.

I got 36mph on my 3 speed when i was a lad. My mate was holding on to the back with roller skates on. The hole thing was just plane sick:YEAH
He tried it again with a less skilled rider the next week, and well..... i never got to say goodbye. Some say they hit over 40mph and his wheels melted, but i'll never know

05 1krr w/ leo vince slip, k&n's, -1/+1 vortex sprockets, 520 chain, power commander and only hit 175...indicated on speedo.
before all the lil mods i hit bout 170 indicated on speedo so prolly just round 160
still had room on the tach both times but ran out of road, damn bridges have cars all over the place and stoppin is a bitch when ur tryin not to become a splatter on the back of somebody's car
they have a turbo out for this bike now, i def would like to see if somebody put it in. costs bout half the amount of the bike but its suppossed to put the rwhp over 225. wonder how long it would take to blow the damn motor up lol

zx10, 198? that speedo must be way off because on the dyno here at the last dyno days the zx10 that was modded and on there was only in the 170's, i think it almost broke 180....and that's on a dyno so no wind resistance or front wheel resistance on the road.

On my 3rd track day THERE 4 years ago, The speed was from a radar gun. The long straight was set up that day. I moved up to the hot race group after my first 20 min. session .If i remember correctly my times at the start of the day were 1.19 or somethin ??? that was the speed that was told to me at the end of the day, me and 4 others were hitting 180mph. I went with the event organizer and WERA racer Dean Ogelbie, (spell) . The year before on a fzr1,000 i was told 164 mph?? If this is incorrect ??? not intentionaly !! I'm out there breaking as late as possible and don't have time to look at a spedo that's taped up anyways.

i didnt even bother reading the threads. but who ****** cares. any moron can twist a throttle and go straight. look at all street squids what do they do. hop on busa's and hammer the throttle everywhere. plus this is stuntlife website...so why we talking about top speed and drag racing...

Back in 2002 my f4i topped out at 162 on the speedo which is a lot slower real time. I took my buddies gsxr1000 out and it cut off at 189 what ever that is in real time. Anyway there is no reason to go that fast. I have a 60 and one down in the front on my f4i now so it might hit 100-90mph.
