Didnt take me long at all.. Maybe a half hour I took Old man rogers advice.. try doing slow ss so you have to use it!!
The first few attempts in ss i kinda hovered and used more engine break... then one time I clutched it right to balance point.. Never had my finger on the break.. hovered for a few seconds.. got a little scared and it came back down.. I guess I learned from that little mistake..
I found the hard thing about it was getting comfortable with 1 finger on clutch and the other on hb... I slip my index finger off the clutch on the way up.. then use 2 fingers on the hb...

HB, ive had my brembo now for a while havent spent more then an hour total practicing but i just find the transitiion from foot to hand too weird!!!! how long did it take u guys to learn it if u always used a foot brake???? any advise??? besides spending more time, cuz i just dont feel comfortable using it, to get used to it

Here's a concept: Go play on a bicycle... the rear brake is the same place, so once you get the bicycle rear-brake sussed, the hand-brake on your bike shouldn't be a problem...

It only took me a few tries to get slow seat standers when i 1st started to use it...All i did was do a slow stand up with one foot on the seat and while i was doing that i would start using my HB and then after i got comfortable using the HB like that i would just step up to a SS from that.

If it takes you more than an hour or so, you might not be ready for a hb yet.

Im still learning too, but I practice ss. That seems to be the easiest way to slide your fingers to the brake. I start with 1 finger on the clutch and then slide it under to the handbrake after clutching it up. Not sure if thats right, but I can slow it down pretty good and keep from looping.

one finger on the clutch and one finger on the brake at all times and then when you get new tricks that require you to use the brake and the clutch you will be use to it already....

SS,YACK IT UP & SMOTHLY SQUEEZE THE BREAK DONT GRAB IT.IF YOU HAVE A PROBLEM GRABING TO MUCH BREAK WHEN YOU FIRST COME BACK,TRY TO BRING IT A LIL PAST BALANCE THEN SMOOTH OUT FROM THERE.

I learned on my fiddy
so when I got a hand brake on my f4i, I went out and did a SS at idle after like 3 attempt lol..
when I did learn, I dragged hte brake as I poped it up, and would pull it harder to come down.. then I got used to being able to get off the brake
