brake control a must
i found out the hard way that brake control is a must to learn. i looped in second gear tonight in a wall mart lot tonight I could tell i had gone past the balance point and was going over but i just couldn't get on that damn brake fast enough. and damn i love my gear. if i wasn't wearing my helmet i don't think i be typing this right now. i pretty much landed on my head somehow. and got a little rash on my back where my leather had rode up on me. but hey il be back at again soon. so please wear you gear, and ill get some pics up soon

Re: brake control a must
why the **** are you stunting in lots with out using brake control in the first place thats the fuking point of lots stunting. its not highway wheelies and even that you still use your rear brake.

Re: brake control a must
oh thats the WHOLE point of lots eh, i thought a good point was to take it off the streets so when people are learning they dont *** up in traffic. but hey who knows, i guess you know all. and i guess i should apologize for not having a nifty HB, even though i do use brake control ,like i said i couldn't get my foot to the brake fast enough. so yes even though im still learning brake control , im gunna be in a lot until i good enough, then i just might take it to the streets. and i know i most likely am going to loop it again, and getting run over by a car or truck just doesn't sound that appealing to me. and yeah i should have been in first, at that particular time i was using second to pick up speed to get down the lot faster.

we just lost one of our lots over here... it sucks when you invite someone new and they end up ruining it for the rest of us

TO ALL NEW STUNTERS...
go to your lot.. put the bike in first gear... clutch it up from a rolling stop 2,000 times while applying pressure to break... dont try to ride it out.. just bring the front end up higher and higher.. dont try to move too quickly.. stunting takes time/practice/ and patience... eventualy you might be able to get it!! 2nd gear is used for the highway or people who have an overly large sprocket and can do slow wheelies in 2nd.. (ex.. sit down no handers) ride safe and TAKE YOUR TIME!!

You also don't learn brake control and the bp in 2nd gear period. You learn it in 1st gear doing 12's with a cage, and a bar, at 2mph.. OR on small DB, 50's seem to be the most popular. That way you can't really hurt yourself or your bike much. Hope that helps you from having a future squid moment.

Re: brake control a must
Personally I hated trying to learn on a stock geared bike, having a little bit of gear (not much, maybe -1/+2) helped me. But, back to what people are saying... stay in 1st dude. No need for 2nd gear, you won't accomplish anything. Take it to the lot and practice bringing it up while applying a small amount of pressure already on the back brake. You'll get it.. just keep practicing.

Re: brake control a must
as previously stated practice in first, im guessing your bike is geared and that why you were in second (which is also the reason everyone should learn with stock gears). second always have your foot covering the brake so if something like this should happen in a panic you dont have to find the brake your foot is already over it. third learning to use a handbrake is a lot harder than most of you squids think.
