Re: slow 1000 wheelies

First mod - High temp brake fluid (brembo makes some new **** thats like 600 degrees, no joke)

Second mod - Some vans waffle grip so you can feel your back brake pedal (cuz you are going to need more feel than a catholic preist on that 1000)

Third mod - Dirtbike gloves so you can not gorilla grip your throttle into next week. I find that with a slim tight fitting glove you can do the most minute throttle imputs which you will severely need with that 1000.

Fourth mod - Amazon.com has a 3 week installment of Balance Point (BP) with anti-foot-in-the-bar creme to be applied twice daily from the calf down. I just received mine in the mail and my foot-in-the-bar has decreased significantly.

Re: slow 1000 wheelies

Learn the rear brake

This one is completely stock. Idle is 1,100. Original brake pads and 2 year old fluid.

Not to mention an electrical problem that makes it shut off randomly for no reason..

Re: slow 1000 wheelies

o yea goin slow on the 1000

basically ull prolly loop it if u dont have a pretty good stunt game. i consider myself a decent lot guy, i can ride the streets forever on the f4i and the 1000 but goin slow on the bitch is tuff

u have to be perfect on the gas break...otherwise its a wrap or a powerwheelie! which are both gay as hell

Re: slow 1000 wheelies

And to stay on track. The 03-04 Gixxer 1k has been one of the easiest 1000's to 12 that I've ever rode. Just spend some time trying.

(No offense or anything Evan... Just trying to be relevant to the original poster lol)

Lol.

You should have come down with Aaron.

Actually, can you text me his phone number? Dumbass tells me he's coming down and wants to hang but doesn't give me his number.

Re: slow 1000 wheelies

Let some air out of the tire, if you're new at it I would start with 10lbs. If you plan on driving it on the street try 20, it will handle funny with those pressures.

Re: slow 1000 wheelies

I used to have 2003 gixxer 750 , they r heavy as **** whic h i couldnt do circxles forever till i switched on an f4i finally i got circles anyway 1000 is heavy you d probably learn how to do slow wheelie on straight mostly and i suggest you to add lil bit more gearing , cage and be very carefully cuz it breaks real easy like u said u r short on money good luck.
