My First Tank Dent...

Ok, so I dented my tank on my Gsxr 6 last night and this is how it came out..I tried looking for Pics to se how I should do it.. but that search **** sucks and all I could find was 636 and F4i tanks...I gotta get a smaller Dead-blow and finish smoothing it out, but I'm happy I didn't chip any of the paint.. Next is to replace the Stock cap with a Vortex one..:YEAH

When you flipped them, did you grind off the bottom tabs that hold them into the upper?.. I flipped them without cutting the tabs and the were past the front.. hard to explain..

maybe its just me but it would hold to much pressure and whenever i unscrewed tha cap gas would erupt out. i thought i kinked a vent line but i didnt. so someone told me to cut the spring in half but it didnt work, so i took the **** out on the bottom of the base and its been fine ever since.

Re: My First Tank Dent...

mine bottomed out pretty bad cause the inside front of the r6 tank cuts back to the rear at a hella steep angle. It was sloshin gas everywhere and ate away at my bondo so i put a vortex on there so i dont have to re bondo it over and over.
