UOSTUNTER... there are about 9000 threads on chains around here. But unless you are stunting a BUSA a 520 chain IS MORE THAN ENOUGH!!!!! I stunted all season long on my 520 chain and I didn't have to adjust it ONCE!

does geared steel make chains too???
or just the sprokets.

They make the sprockets but the full kit comes with a chain, made by one of the major chain manufacturers. I've seen a 520 chain break as well - definitely scarey, but I've also seen a busa break a 530 ...

Yea, I rock the streets and I've never, EVER seen a chain snap in my life. (Both in the lot and the streets) And running a 525 isn't bad, I can agree with you on that. But E-Loc doesn't have a clue what he's talking about. And as Scott said, TONS of AMA riders run 520 and even 515 b/c of the difference in weight. Less centrifugal mass is key! But I've run an RK Gold 520 on every single bike I have had and they've all been tough as nails and I've done plenty of highway **** and so have my friends.

i run 520 and its perfect actually i dont think i have ever adjust my new chain that i have had on there for 6 months now. 520 is more than enough. but 525 is stock and thats fine also.

You should realize how many highly educated people are on this site.
Since you want to go that route - The proper 520 chains are for bikes up to 1000cc. and have a tensile strenght of about 9,000 lbs. But guess what, many 525 and 530 chains have the same tensile strenght. Stepping up to the strongest 530 for bikes up to 1600cc. (drag race chains) only takes you up to 11,500 lbs tensile strenght.
As for your dirtbike chain - 520 motorcross chains are not the same as 520 street chains.
