Age Old Question/concern

Age Old Question/concern
now that i feel its best to transfer my dirtbike "stuntriding" skills to my f3. id like to get a cage of course. after laying my bike down pretty hard today while doing a rolling burnout, which resulted in much fairing damage, luckly no cracked strator cover or anything.
i was thinking of going towards FI, because the cages are light and wont give my "riding mentors" an idea of me seriously stunting my new streetbike.
Its a 97' f3, so i know i dont have that many options. just looking for a light cage, that could hold the beating im gonna give it.
but the FI cage design is what i liked, but the ones they actually make for the f2-f3's look more like Power's cage sliders or whatever u call em. i wasnt sure.

any recommendations would be awesome.
(im trying to stunt w/o my dad knowing that these cages are mainly used to protect us stunters from damaging our engines, not just the fairing. because i could just simply get frame sliders.

Yes, the frame slider is tilted back. It bent my frame in also.
PS. It's the crash in my avatar.

Same here. I've been nervous to drop the bike ever since I put the cage on. That's the whole purpose of a cage right??? I went out practicing 12's and it pancaked one time and this is what happened.

i love my FI cage, works great on 600rr's. dropped it out the back of my truck on accident and not a scratch or anything. crashed it a few times and just light rash on the tail

Re: Age Old Question/concern
yea i was concerned with FI's f3 cage designs because them seemed much smaller

which is nice and all, but will it offer the same protection?

Re: Age Old Question/concern
i like it on my gixxer, but ive only fallen a few times and not terribly hard, all ive heard is they dont hold up well in hard crashes. my boy had one on his gixxer and beat the hell out of it and it eventually was just completely fucked.

Re: Age Old Question/concern
two days ago my boy crashed his 954 with a fi cage and it broke the stator cover and the motor case and the threaded rod that goes through the swing arm
if your cage breaks you stator cover then why have a cage ...........
and on an f4i thet usually brake the stator cover and rip out the front motor mount bolts....

Re: Age Old Question/concern
if the fi is the same design for the f3 as it is for the f4 then i beleive the slider will be too low because of wher the motor mount is located on the f3
i think it will roll over very easy but i have never seen an fi cage on an f3 so take my advise for what it is
