Thanks JP - great info & Pics!

Is the M in "M8" a grade of strength or does it mean 8 millimeters?

Re: 636 fork swap?

Decent at best Just kiddin looks good but I'll take the green one....Its got a full Akro Ti EVO system with a PCC (power corordinator computer)

Pretty cool theres a EGA sniffer in the exhaust that smells how well the gas has been burnt and adjusts the FI on the fly.....Its like a PC but it remaps itself every few seconds....NO MORE MAPPING:YEAH

Re: 636 fork swap?

yeah its actually functional to, i shortend it so much along with the mid pipe i had my weldeer guy who makes all the exhaust for titan n swift motorcycles weld a baffle in the mid pipe so it still had Back Pressure and great sound... i powder coated it flat black n painted the fmf emblem when i was painting the plastics the same color

You must use 05/06 rotors with 05/06 forks

And they are made by Showa..

Do not use 05/06 tripple on 03/04 frame cause the stem on the 05/06's is shorter and you cannot USE the 03/04 top tripple clamp on the 05/06 lower tripple because the stem is skinner at the top so you'l have to creat some kinda of spacer which would be a pain in the ***...

Both forks are 30 1/2 inchs and same width at the clamps... so use your 03/04 tripple trees with the fork conversion. but you need the larger rotors to accomidate the new caliper distance on the forks.

poppy good **** thats how i did it
