Re: carburated vs fuel injected ?

i dont think theres any advantage to having a carbed bike over FI. You can stunt a f4 all day long, only thing you might have a problem w/ is being on the bar.

Re: carburated vs fuel injected ?

being on the bar will flood it and so will leaving it on the cage for too long. other than that the idle is very consistent and everything else is fine. you can also bolt an f4i subframe right on it, and then all you need is seats and a tail. that's what i did and it stunts much better.

Re: carburated vs fuel injected ?

hahaha put an f4i subframe n seats to make the motor runs better .....well you can get an f4i motor , wiring harness and gas tank on your f4

Re: carburated vs fuel injected ?

i never said it made the motor run better, i said stunt better. it makes no handers easier plus in my opinion it's better for seat standers and flamingos. and plus the single banana seat is ugly.

Re: carburated vs fuel injected ?

Only bad the for me is it floods if on ground-cage for even 2 secs. And fighting stallin. I kept my tail, like it better for combos. But I vinyl painted the back seat for look wise, and cut it very short with a 1o'clock bar.

Re: carburated vs fuel injected ?

um yea..

every carbed bike iv had
last being a YZF600R yamaha. bogs down..

Doesnt react as fast as the FI in low gas situations.. Ie

2mph wheelies..

FI the only way aposed to the Carbed bike always hit hard with power.. layed off and hit again.. the fi always has constant power..

personal opinion

Re: carburated vs fuel injected ?

yea thats **** is nuts, i've seen a few of those at the stealership, havn't gotten to ride one yet but i hear there is a pretty noticable difference. i dunno how i feel about FI on a quad or a dirtbike though, i think that would really **** me off as far as working on it...but who knows.

Re: carburated vs fuel injected ?

Not positive but he says it will tell you whats wrong with it.. kinda like my F4i. Not sure if it just blinks a code or if you can hook somthing up to it. So might make it easier.. now that 2 strokes are gone.. **** , I dont care what they do with the damn things now.. I miss 2 strokes.

That's right I've ridden one of those things. Its ridiculously unnecessary. Dirtbikes have carbs cause they don't need FI. Accelerator pumps on carbs give you that quick juice literally almost just as fast...

Re: carburated vs fuel injected ?

...thats insane, i think i'll stick to carb(s) on dirtbikes & quads. two strokes ain't gone!! my boy just picked up a brand new yz250 from the stealership! i guess most stealerships don't have them on the floor but you can still order them like always. they are still doin R&D on two strokes too; the manufactures are just keeping them off the floors to make the tree hugging **** shut their faces. two stroke ain't dead its just on the dl!

+1 thats exactly what I was going to say.
Forexample the cbr F2 will stall on 12 (no fuel pump)
the F3 added a fuel pump and you can 12 fine but if your on for a long time you'll flood.
