little help

alright so bike has developed a little bit of a problem, apon take of it sounds like its running on all four cylinders but once i hit 6grand the bike falls on its face and sounds like its running on 2 cylinders but i can throttle through it and once it gets past 7.5grand theres a slight knock but it goes back to running on all four, i just put a new ecu in and it still does it and it doesnt show and error on the speedo anyone have this happen to them or should i just jump this beast off a cliff and cut my losses. Any help

Re: little help

The FZR i got for the wifey was doing the same thing in every gear... since it didnt have gauges i couldnt tell if it was wanting me to shift, it was dying or power through it. Shifting and powering helped but it happen in every gear. Got it home, cleaned the carbs, and changed the plugs, now the things a ******* monster

Re: little help

check the boots too, if the boots arnt on all the way, chewed up, ate up, cut or anything itll make the base contact get all dicked up from greese and dirt and ****. IF you cant find new ones, or to lazy to replace em, electrical tape the **** out of the boot.
