Re-did front end now cant endo? f4i

So I JUST started to learn endos before I got my left fork rebuilt. I was rolling them about 30ft then tore the bike down. I put 15wt Oil in the forks instead of 10wt. And the settings on the fork I got back from the Honda place were screwed down so that 2 lines were left showing. My other fork had 4 1/2 lines showing. I put em both at 2 lines, then 4. Neither got me back to endoing. The only other thing I did was take off the front brake line cuz I moved the bars out more and had to do a little switcharoo action. I bled the brake by pumping the brake lever and then cracking the bleeder on the caliper just like how youd bleed car brakes. Pump, pump, pump, pump, hold....crack it open close it. Repeat. The brakes felt good, when moving the bike around they lock up easy, while just driving normally they stop the bike as they should. But when really try to get on em to endo they just slow me down and Im pulling in the lever as hard as I can. Before I just compressed it, stabbed the brake, humped the tank and that **** came *** up. But now its gabbage. So either its fork settings, or front brakes. If its brakes how do I bleed them more? Am i doing something wrong. I definatley know its the bike and not me.

Well the bars were already flipped and pushed out. I maybe moved em another inch out. Its def. not the position of the bars. I think its the brakes just not being strong enough. Everything was fine before I did the fork, 15wt oil, and took off that brake line. Im wondering if theres another way to bleed the brakes? I hear people talking about a vacuum bleeder but Ive never used one or seen one before.

Re: Re-did front end now cant endo? f4i

OK when im moving the bike around in the garage..Pushing it, non running...I spike the front brake and it feels really strong. When riding it normally and using front brake it slows it down. If i were some squid who didnt know the diff Id say my brakes worked great. But being a squid with a little knowledge I know either they arent grabbing enough to get it to endo..or something to do with my forks. Seriously before I got the fork rebuilt, went to 15wt oil and took off that brake line and re-bled brakes, it was hella easy to get it to endo. So as usual I come in top of 2nd gear, Preload the forks with the brake then spike it and it just slows the bike down. Even if I get on the front brakes mad hard it just slows it down. Im like humping the ever living **** out of the tank too and nothing but nutcrackers.

it's definately your brakes.. a handful of brakes should either wash you out or pile drive you and your bike into the ground in 0.00001 seconds.

I think you should try using your back brake to do stoppies or you chould try looking for a kink in your line or it could be oil on your pads for the blown seal you had before.try holdin your brake and drive around to get them hot too burn off the oil. or you need new pads!!!And where abouts in buffalo you from?

Re: Re-did front end now cant endo? f4i

lol nice post man ^^ haha

Im in West Seneca/Cheektowaga NY..about 10 min from Downtown. But total suburbs where Im at. Some good roads and nice spots so I cant complain.

Let me ask tho How are ya'll bleeding your brakes. As I mentioned in my post before? or another way? I just pump the lever like 8-10 times, hold it down, and crack a bleeder on the caliper. And do the same again and crack the other bleeder. It took awhile to get pressure but it did and **** they felt good but not good enuff to roll do'z I guess.

Another thing....When I took the front line off I had to like flip it to work cuz with my bars pushed out it was in a gay position. But now its like sticking out kinda wierd and the line is close to hitting my guages. Theres that tab deal on there and its sorta compromising how the lines gota go. I have 2 choices on how to run it pretty much know what Im sayin. I was thinking about grinding it off but prolly not a good idea.

If you want to ride ,i will be in the lockport area at the end of this month? , and as far as the brakes i pump it three times and hold - crack the bleeder and shut . after i shut the bleeder i wait a few seconds to let the fluid drain into the line. then repeat the process. the bleed pump does the same thing ,just alot cleaner . all it does is pull the fluid from the bottom insted of pushing it from the top when you do it by hand, i think
