what master are you runnin for the HB

Re: what master are you runnin for the HB
ive run a Brembo, R1 Radial and even a RC51. if you bleed it right, you can use 1 finger all day on all of them.
the biggest thing i think is gettin one that you can position at the place you want it and get good leverage on it. if its not in the position/angle you like, then youre not gonna like it.

I've rode with properly bled brembo, new radials, and the magura puts them to shame.

Runnin the basic brembo master hand brake system with a shorty ez pull clutch lever. Stock rear master with GP tech junction valve.. I decided to rid myself of the fork mount thumbrake.....got a real hb now..lol

Re: what master are you runnin for the HB
hey speaking of bleeding.....I ended up buying some speed bleeders for my stunna and let me tell you....they are the sh-t... Bleeding brake system made way easier and better for making sure all the air is out of the brake system. The speed bleeders have a little check valve in the fitting so you can loosen it, bleed it by yourself, then tightened the fitting without any air getting in the system. I used them, they kick ***, try em out if you are having bleeding troubles or brakes feel squishy.

Re: what master are you runnin for the HB
they are a little pricy.. a discount of anykind on those is nice..
I was sic of having HB issues of only working perfect for 1 session and 1 finger being OK.. So I went out and bought the best and most expensive **** out there.

Re: what master are you runnin for the HB
From what I heard the brembo and magura is made from the same company but but the magura is just the top of the line, and there is no arguement of which is better. The "peps" you said hated them had to be having a squid moment, brain fart, or are just retarded. haha!

Re: what master are you runnin for the HB
i'm running the 94 900rr, it's a 14mm piston so it's small which matches up with the 1 piston brake caliper great.
a 929 master is 3/4". 900rr went from 14mm, to 5/8 then to 3/4" on the 929/954 then onto 19mm on the 1000rr.
larger piston diameter is more fitted towards a high volume system like dual 4 piston brakes. If you run something low volume like 1 piston single caliper you want a small piston diameter to provide a lot of pressure.
my 14mm 900rr is solid as a rock with tons of pressure. i rock stock pads too. the only benefit i would see for me to switch to the brembo would be the sensitivity. I'm sure it's a lot smoother than mine, but it works just fine for bringing me down from hc scrapes and works great for off peg coasters and circles so i'm not complaining.

I don´t have a stuntbike yet but I will get one next year...and I´m thinking of using the 16x18 brembo as handbrake, is it good or do you guys know any better to a fair price?

[QUOTE=FerstlerSlim;2856060]turn your idle down. that makes it 10x harder for a hb to get you down, it has to pull against the motor. that or be smart and pull the clutch in when you are pulling the hb and it comes down a shitload easier.
i only 1 finger my hb, NEVER have i had to use 2 fingers...not even hc scrapes, and if you don't have a powerful hb, just feather the clutch when you use the hb and it'll come down, REAL fast, trust me.
