the honest truth about sever sprocket counts.

Re: the honest truth about sever sprocket counts.
I've got a 60 tooth sprocket in the back. At first I thought it was a bit much, but I've grown used to it. If you watch the old Starboyz and Streetfighterz clips those guys rocked stock gears. I guess other than engine braking (for learning or anti-hand brake riders) the only other benefit is rolling slower idle. I think skill is the great equalizer.

well.... with my learning curve, i figured out how to use what the bike has as an advantage. but when i hoop on something like this machine with a 60t, it threw all my senses out the window. i was trying to get a feel for the bike, and got a dirtbike experience on a 445lb bike.
it just seemed outta control.
it just seemed outta control.
throttle control on a geared bike is harder, brake control on idle is easier....

Wonderfully said. When I threw my -1/55th sprok. on my 954, throttle
control was literally pointless,(simply too much power, too blipee) I was
then forced to turn my idle up and use my brake (this was AFTER I already
learned how to use the brake on my F4i, (the first time I turned my idle up
on my 954, I was trippin as if the bike was gunna loop.)
IMHO, liter bikes should have the idles turned up for slower ****.
My 954 is too snappy for throttle control. (parking lots)

see... thats what i was experienceing. it was crazy choppy, and i was scared to even put it back far enough to catch idle, cause i just thought it would be whorably uncontrolable still.
i'm not biased either way, all i can speak on is what i have experienced..... i doubt that i would change my sprockets more, because i like how it feels right now. streetz and lots:YEAH
