If they come in on time I'll put em in and try it out this weekend. I got em for 91.00 shipped too :YEAH

It's not hard to do only thing that looks like it would be time consuming is measuring and cutting the spacers. I have a round bar so i usually have to strap up the front end.

Re: F4i fork setups

Put the springs in this afternoon and what do ya know.....RAIN came pouring down as I cranked it up.

I said **** it and tried it out in the rain for a sec just to see how it feels.

So far I like it. I was able to pick it up to endo with a little speed even in the rain wich I would've NEVER even attempted with the stock springs, It feels kinda like my 636 did...soild....Hopefully better

I ended up using 15w PJ1 and have my dampening at 3/4 from Hard and my rebound at 1/8 from hard. I weigh 195 and bought 1.00 springs.
This is what the guy at soncisprings told me to try, less damp, more rebound seems to work tho.

He also told me that 15w may be a little much maybe try 10 or mix 10 &15. I'm gonna see what happens with 15 for now but the 10 /15 is next on the list.

I hope to try it out tommorow or sat for the real test. I'm ready to pull some faster endos again as long as it hooks like it should.

So far I have spent $105 total. thats 90 on springs and 15 on oil. Not too bad and it only took 30 min to do both springs with forks still on the bike.

I don't know if this will be "the cure" for the shitty F4i forks but it is def better so far.

wouldnt more (stiffer) rebound cause it to pogo harder when you pull up an endo?

Actually it works just the opposite. The front end comes back up slower when the rebound is set harder. So it goes down and then comes up slow and smooth instead of bouncing right back up after the fork is compressed. That = less pogo. I tried it and it works great.

Also i think the reason they told me to soften up the dampening after I put stiffer springs in a little was for increased traction. So far that works great to.

I haven't really gotten a chance to put the new setup to the real test but so far it's 200% better than stock

Re: F4i fork setups

Yeah that's gotta be a rough *** ride

Factory springs are for about 150 lbs so they should be alright for you. The first few inches of travel are the only ones that will be too soft. Hell your front probably don't even move tho.

Post up how the revalving works out for you. I've been wondering if its worth the money. I read that it's better to use the lowest weight oil possible so i'm guessing revavling lets you do that.
