Yea, not the best idea. Ive seen a r6 subframe in pieces from a 45 mph crash. I wrecked my cbr 929rr going 55 mph, it flipped... I flipped... I got up (luckly) checked it, frame was fine and engine worked so I hopped on and road it home with only plactices and tail light to fix. Still ride it to this day! Go Honda... Although Im about to buy a zx10...

Re: yamahas

My bad, SilverstunterR6 is right, the r6 I saw was an 03, 02 subframes are thicker.

your not pushing the limit enough i loved the r6 but i found compared to the hondas balance point is fucked lol, and yeah subframes are fucked and stators **** up quick. especially when you drop them from 12, haha but i'm fucked should have put a cage on

Re: yamahas

not only for subframes(which is an easy fix with adding some steel) but the frame and head mount design on 03' and up is very weak. on two of my buddies and my r6 the cage sliders snapped the frame and went through the head. would of been better off without the freestyle ingenuity cage and replaced a bit of plastic and some levers... now we are replacing motors and heads. they all 3 snapped while doing typical stunts, 12elving then coming down on the right side. i personally was going about 3-5 miles an hour if that and hit my hand break, front came down, bike dropped on side, SNAP!!! wasnt even a hard fall, just a typical drop. so now we are working on them and trying to come up with our own cage. other then that i love the r6s cuz they are light and comfortable... anyhow, just puttin in my two cents!
