03-04 636 front end on f4i

whos done it? hows it worked?? i am about to do it soon and was wondering whats inolved in it, like which bearing races do you use and what not...thanks in advace

my buddy used 929 triples and bolted it up, it looks ****!!

so he just used 929 upper and lower triples then bolted the 636 forks right in?? were they 03-04 forks or the newer ones???

yea a few have if you dont keep them maintained...but keep em tight and your good....ive ridden a 636 for 3 years and am really comfortable with that front end..never a problem and im close to 500ft from a 300 approach...

i got a f4i and i dont want the stock front end and got a spare 636 so im wondering whats involed inthe swap

tubes from a 929 and a 636 are both 50mm correct? then they should just slide right in

Someone from CONN did this , He had his 636 front end on his f4i....He said it needs little mods to be exactly i dont know.

what do you mean by tighten? where should i tighten?

pretty sure that the only thing that would need to be machined would be a spacer to keep the f4i wheel...but imma just put a 636 front on so im hoping it bolts right up....

Ive been thinkin of this myselffor a few weeks now, Ive got some spare 636 forks and triples layn around but wondered what it would take to make it work....now Im gonna look into it a lil more cause that **** looks dope
