Seriously, if you want to make some good money, buy up any F4I/636 motors you see in crashed bikes. Give it a few years, and those motors will be like gold. Look at 900rr motors these days......very far and few between.

true but the smart people would get the newer 919 motor bolts in... takes very little modification and last but not least its FUEL INJECTED!!!

Re: WTF is up w/ prices on newer f4i's

yeah i dunno whatsup with people asking rediculous prices for their f4i's. especially like an 01 or 02 and they ask 5500 for. **** that. nobody buys f4i's exept cheapo stunters. a complete squid wouldnt buy an f4i, he'd get something faster like an r6 or 600rr.

You do make a good point, but there are hardly any 919's around either. I thought Honda would sell more of them.

Re: WTF is up w/ prices on newer f4i's

i've been looking for ANY f4i i can get my hands on to have as a stunter and the cheapest i can find is a friends who's is already stunted out for 3500...and he donesn't even want to come off of it for that yet. I'll have to keep watching the salvage auctions in the area where people who rana dn wrecked got their bikes impounded.

I think the bike prices are going crazy because of the gas prices, around here you can't even find a used sport bike anymore. They're all bought up and another guy i know who is looking for just a sport bike to ride is going to ahve to buy his first bike new because of the shortage. Doesn't want to, but there's not even any ex500's left in this area for some reason

Unfortuneately F4I/636 owners probably won't have that option. 900RR owners just got lucky with Hondas decision to revive the old 900rr engine configuration.

Re: WTF is up w/ prices on newer f4i's

I have been looking since the end of May I just finally said **** it I am buying one, I got it on Thursday. I did not get a great deal but i did not get a shitty deal. I picked up an 04 Yamaha R-6 4000 miles 100% clean minty as hell this guy did not ride it hard at all. anyway 5400 I know it is not a great deal but its not horrible. People are just asking crazy *** prices for stuff. I always find killer deals but not this year.

ya, but it's still a 954. they suck as a parking lot bike and parts for htem are crazy expensive. about the only good thing on them is the forks.

i got my f4i last november, 19k miles on it, clean title, not stunted, 2800$
