I guess you dont ever use the rear pegs for anything. I'm a little over 150 lbs and my light weight a$$ jumping around makes the O.E. brakets felx a bit. Also have you ever went to move your foot back hit the peg wrong and had it fold up? with a OMR cage it will not happen he rotates the pegs on axis so they only fold if you want them to and you get to stand on the grippy part not the non grippy part

Re: Point of a subframe cage??

once you have tried one you will never want to ride on stock peg brackets ever again....they are so solid they don't flex at all

Re: Point of a subframe cage??

I still dont see the use for one. all I rock is an FI cage, my hb lever sticks out well past the clip on, I weigh 210, and I've dropped my bike on both sides many times. The only dmg so far was a busted peg... not from dropping, but getting the peg stuck in a wall when learning to park stoppies. I keep my fastners tightened on my bike and have had no issues with bending pass. peg brackets. Now someone fix my rider peg brackets from bending in at the ends...

Re: Point of a subframe cage??

well between your cage and the subframe cage do you think maybe it might help keep your rider rearset from bending.........

if you pancake your **** it will probably help

and did you read the whole thread ?

there are more reasons then just the pegbrackets bending

Yeah I never did see the use for one either, but that was when I had an F4i. Now I got a 636, and those passenger peg brackets snap or bend sooo easy, and the pegs bend easy too. Plus it stiffens up the subframe, which can break semi easy on the 636's too. I need one, but I'm pretty short on cash right now...guess thats what happens when you buy a ps3 lol
