Re: Quick shifter
ya, send me the money you will spend on that quick shifter, we'll just call that money "no longer yours"......then go out and practice balance point wheelies and stop switching gears. if you're balanced you won't need to shift.

Re: Quick shifter
+1 just get to the point where you can ride at a steady speed & you won't need to shift

Re: Quick shifter
I can ride a wheelie a long distance, but been to a few bike shows around here and they have all had fastest whelie contest, so i tried to switch gears but no luck, thought a quick shifter would help, would it be worse?

a pow,pow wheelie contest , but just for ***** and giggles what effect would it have on a wheelie? would it slame you down or make you loop? i know pc makes a quick shifter, do they all do this or is this one different
Normally during "up shifting" you must roll off of the throttle and pull in the clutch in order to engage the next higher gear. In racing (both drag and road race), split seconds count. Rolling off the throttle, even slightly, slows your times and can be the difference between winning and losing.
The Dynojet Quick Shifter (DQS) allows full throttle, clutch less shifting. This is done by momentarily cutting the fuel and or ignition, which unloads the transmission. During this time, the rider can shift up to the next gear without rolling off the throttle or using the clutch.
The PCIIIUSB incorporates all of the Quick Shifter functionality in with the main fuel controller and is fully programmable. No cutting or splicing of your bike's wiring harness is necessary.
The amount of "kill time" is adjustable by the user via the provided software. The user can also set a minimum rpm for the system to function. This keeps the system from activating at too low of an rpm, such as low speed road riding.

Re: Quick shifter
dude, if you want to do a fastest wheelie contest, keep the front end low, put upward pressure on the shifter then you just ease out the throttle for a millisecond and it'll shift.
