now that i listen to this, i'm thinking it's a design problem with FT adapters. i thought they were both the same but i have a GP tech and mine is strong from the first pull. tony runs a GP tech too and i bled his and it's perfectly strong. i don't have any "half pump" or lag between them.
and yes, i have done it on the tail. nick apex does it all the time with a stock tail on it. if you have no bar and you hit the tail it almost springs back. i also did that with only a +10 sprocket. you won't crash dragging tail without a bar, it's actually WAY more forgiving than a 12 bar. don't hate the world because you can't pull a clutch in, let the rpms drop and then dump the clutch to get it off the tail.
oh, and to add, i went from a dual to an adapter, if mine actually had that slop, why would i stay with my adapter? mine works perfect. i still have my 905 dual caliper bracket on my 750....all feels the same between the 2 for me, nice and strong from the first pull.

When I first got my gp tech I didn't have the one pump lag. After a few months I could get rid of the half pump lag between the two. I switched to the hey hoe set-up and there both pretty solid now, but I can't say for sure if it was worth the cash.
What I do like about the dual set-up is that my gp tech would notch the **** outta my swing arm on my 636, when the suspension is fully compressed.
It's also a lil bit easier to bleed the dual set-up.

i rock the FULLTHROTTLE adapter... im sure theres better.... but it works jus fine for me.... i dont mind pumping it a thousand times bfore i get pressure... hahaha

not on a honda....never once had it. change your fluid more often and put good stuff in it. and for god's sake: LEARN TO WHEELIE 
(won't have to be on the brakes all the time)
but seriously, i had a dual caliper setup on my 929 for 3 years. It was nice but now that i'm on my adapter style handbrake, it feels the same. I didn't notice any difference at all.
only thing i can think is having 2 sets of brake pads and if you use your handbrake less you'll wear those pads out less.
never thought about it as a backup because that's something i haven't broken and is a very rare occourance. (hasn't happened to anyone i ride with in the last 5 years that i've been stunting).

and dont be so sensitive, i said that as a general statement. i didn't direct it towards you otherwise i would have said "you need to learn to wheelie".
I see a lot of noobs burn up brake pads in like 2 weeks cause they are rocking wheelies holding the brake down. Most of us on here can use pads for over a year and still not burn through them.
chirpin, i think it's a 50/50 on the bleeding. you only have to do it once for the adapter, but sometimes if you don't do it right you get a bubble at the foot master that forms. I had to play around a little with the foot master before i got both of our GP techs nice and solid....since then, they rock.

everyone seems to be talkin about one pump lag like its a design problem. its not, the technical term is spony brakes which means air in the lines. its not a design problem you just didn't bleed that **** right. i know this crap cuz this is what i do haha(work on cars). espcially if you use it a ot on the brake system heats up it gets worse. bleed it out right and it should be instant.
