Battery Problems.....

i bought a new battery put it in and it wont stay charged for over a day....heres the thing i was wondering....i changed my clutch lever to the EZ-PULL and took the stock one off and just zipped tied the two wires that goto the stock clutch that shuts your bike off if you dont have the clutch in when putting it into gear.....i was wondering since ive done that, is that drawwing power from the battery.....? thats the only thing i can think of.....

check your stator connection & 12 volt regulator rectifier connection.

Re: Battery Problems.....

What about your stator? Have you tested the voltage that it is putting out when the bike is running, pick up a repair manual, well worth it

Re: Battery Problems.....

I have a pdf of the 954 service manual here somewhere. I'd start at the stator and rectifier and check the voltage while the bike is running. There are some resistance checks you can do on the others.
