Magic license plate spray...

I've seen ad's for this stuff in SSB and cycleworld and all over online. I just wanna know if it really works. Anyone on here use it? For those of you that dont know what im talking about it's a spray that you put on your license plate and it "makes your license plate invisible to camera's". Suposeably if you get a ticket while using the spray they will pay your fines. Only reason im asking is i get grilled alot for having my plate under my tail, and im just curious.

Here's a couple links...

from what i have heard they have wipe's in bigger city's that react to the spray and they wont ticket you for your traffic offense they ticket you for using the spray which probly isnt covered by the people running the spray company

Re: Magic license plate spray...

My dad has a liscense plate cover on his conversion van, so if your directly behind it you can see it. But if you look from any angle you can't read the plate. So traffic light cammeras can't pick it up, or thruway cameras from the side, just anything not directly behind it. It's illegal but he's had it on it for a year and drives alot and has never been pulled over yet.

No thats just for cameras that are taking a pic of your car. Like at a toll or something.

Re: Magic license plate spray...

They busted a myth for outrunning the camera, not a license plate spray. Unless that was on another episode.

You might as well go get some of that glitter spray girls use in their hair. Im sure it would have just about the same effect.

Re: Magic license plate spray...

The spray is a reflective chemical. it works just fine unless wind blows it off or it gets wet. so if it is just sitting in our garage no problem it will work fine, but as soon as you start to go down the road its gone. and covers don't protect it, they make it useless. we used to sell it at a store I worked @

Re: Magic license plate spray...

what r u trying to put it on? street bike jus put on a dealer plate, zip tie it n put ur plate in the tail. get pulled over n if u actually stop for no plate. pull out ur plate n say ur bolts are lost n the daeler plate jus was behind it, u didnt wanna throw it n ur plate holder away so u zip tied it on in the mean time an that you didnt want the plate to break the zip tie and get lost

Re: Magic license plate spray...

i just made a motor to flip my plate up and down. you can get the motors at the hobbie shop or just take the rear axle out of a remote contol car. that way just flip it up when you are being stupid.
