Re: XDL Utah? how was it
I would have came and competed if XDL or someone/some comp flew me out there and there was a bike for me to ride!!!
Glad to hear it went well! Again congrats to E-dub, KILLING IT!
Mikey, found the paper that i was wrinting my run at Vegas... LMAO when i read the top... "Mikey <3's you" HAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHA... You know you were sweating the fact that I was on the only one ballsy enough to put Kelm Tricks and Champions into my run!!! (Except Colton, he did a sitdown Champ in qualifying and the final and as soon as i saw it my thoughts were instantly "SEAN IS GOING TO KILL ME"!!! LOL)

Re: XDL Utah? how was it
Agreed! I love XDL so far and what they/It is doing... but the scheduling needs some work... events need to be all spaced out and it should be West/East qualifying in the spring, then finals in the fall... or vice versa...
just a thought...
Oh and congrats to everyone else too... D - solid as always im sure, Apex - Very nice, especially on a loaner bike (even though you ride it sometimes it's still impressive what you do on it without it being set up for you), Sic Nate - Congrats bro! see ya in Vegas next year?!?!

Re: XDL Utah? how was it
The weekend was a great time! Best facility ever! we had our own 3 bay 6 roll up door garage to pit in with 3 bathrooms, free meals, plenty of ice cold water...very nice!
I rolled to Vegas and then traveled to Utah with Edub Ernie from Outermost, Chris (FISH) Fisher (rock the 40oz 1&2), and Nick APEX in his new Gypsy-mobile (kind of like a U-haul converted into a driving weekend warrior)
about 12hrs in a car each way, but I would gladly do it again.
I was just hoping to place top 10 as this was my second comp ever, but since no one showed up, we all were guaranteed money and a spot in the finals!
I went first (which made me a bit more nervous) and actually messed up and squid dropped my bike at the end of my first pass just skidding to turn around. That kind of threw me off for the rest of the run and I ended up forgetting to do like 4 or 5 tricks. I'm pretty sure that if I had completed my run as I had written it down with no mistakes, I would have placed 4th.
It was definitely good practice for the next one and other future events. I know what to work on and I will definitely practice and time my run ahead of time in the future as I did not do this time.
I pulled off an 800+ foot coaster in the longest coaster event too! I have never tried (or had a spot long enough) to do that before, so I impressed myself with that one. I am very sure that I could go longer if i practiced it more.
