Re: Tank Grip

If your not worried about ripping pants

I used 'step grip tape' from home depot

It comes in like a 8"x3' section for like $5, and is WAY stickier then regular skateboard grip tape.

**** is unreal strong.. Has huge grits

I used it for a while, but then I did my tank in that rhino lining **** when I painted my bike

Re: Tank Grip

Right now I use DA-kine surfboard grip it works pretty good , onceyou get all of it to stay glued down. The first stuff I used was griptape ,then I went to a line-ex spray shop and had them do my tank , They can adjust the spray for more or less grip. The best ive heard and what I'l probobly try on my new setup is "stomp" You get it at a snowboard shop its the silicone -like rubber that goes in the middle section of your snowboard. but all in all ,dented tanks are not really necessary to do spreaders , we where doing tank wheelies without dented tanks ,or grip back in 01' playa.

Re: Tank Grip

i don't see the point of looking good when the product you use to keep you on the bike don't work. you won't be looking to good when your bike is in peice an your layin on the ground. i know grip tape keep me on my tank but bed liner, i don't know about that ****

Some people dont like every pair of jeans they own to have the *** ripped out...

Maybe you don't care, but personally I ride my bike daily, and I don't want my daily clothes to be ripped to shreds

personally I woudn't trust truck bed liner in the rain.. I think that **** would be slick as ****
Then again, I also rarely stunt in the rain, cause my passenger pegs are slick as ****
But that **** holds me on the tank just fine when its dry.. it holds me fine for 1 foot frogs, 1 hand hc's, and all the weak *** combo's I can do haha
