Re: ac's gearing
thanx for the info.. I got a 47 now but I want to gear down a little more. I'm thinking about 52-55. I figure if it's too much I can always throw the 47 back on.

Re: ac's gearing
what year is your bike i forgot ?
if it's an 05 or 06 they pull even better then my 03 with alot less gear
i rode one that was up 5 and it pulled as good as mine with the 62....

Re: ac's gearing
the rr's have the green belly. I dunno whats up.. I've been having problems riding idle and someone w/alot more experience rode my bike and agreed it could definitly use more gearing.
Thats why I went w/the 47 in the first place.. I figured it would be plenty.

here is the H.P. numbers on the ninja's It seems that the 05's have the most power, then 04' ,03' ,then 06' is the weakest of the 636's crazy! I want a 05'!!! fo' sho' !!! I should have never sold my 04'

Re: ac's gearing
well, the bike he used at XDL is currently sitting in my house... so if you like i can check later... LOL but i know it's more than 50...
i think a 50 is plenty for any 636... sean colton's bike that i used at XDL had a 54 and it felt pretty good too though... maybe ill go back to my OG -1+10 gearing from when i first got my 636...

Re: ac's gearing
After reading all of this, I think I need some help. My boy has a brand new 06 636, maybe 600 miles on her. Anyway, stock gearing, (I talked to a guru on the 636 and he recomended the gearing set up, but until then) he let me ride it the other night to try it out. I had to rape the **** out of it to get it up. Im used to a 900, but still. I really had to work...any suggestions?? Or is it because of the above post saying it is the weakest?
I was contemplating picking a 636 up, but now Im a little scared to? Am I too big maybe
