ac's gearing

Re: ac's gearing
I'm 200# and I am/was also thinking about a 636, I'm trying to work a sweet deal on an '03 actually, but I see the '04 has 5 more horsepower than the '03, why is that? is it just mapping? can I get the extra 4 horses by swaping ECM's with an 04? or is it just a jumper mod? and why is the '06 4 pounds heavier than the '05? and 9 horsepower down, is it that the 05 has euro mapping and they dumbed it down for americans in '06?

Re: ac's gearing
street, it's the bike. each bike can pull differently. depending on the breakin and the motor there is an error rate. most of the time when they test bikes, then retest them a month later after they have been ridden they will dyno a few hp higher.
and if there is a 3% variance in motors, at 100hp motor, that's 3hp difference between motors. also look at their rpm of peak horsepower, same motor different peak rpm. just the way each motor breaks in and is built.

Is that site right with the bike specs? I know some sites get wrong info sometimes. I always heard the 03-04 were the same bike & the 05-06 were the same too. I can't see why they would make the 06 heavier and take away power? It just doesn't make sence. Every year the bikes are supposed to get better.
