636 clipons angle

Anyone know the degree of the stock 05-06 clipons? Trying to figure out which aftermarket ones are the closest degree to them

I don't think any are going to work if your planning on flipping them. I just did my 04 636 and after buying a set of vortex and f.i. clip ons I'm back to flipped stock. The vortex were too high and the f.i. came out strait

Re: 636 clipons angle

So, let me get this straight. You guys are saying that Vortex flipped are too high? I am just about ready to put these on my 06 636. would you say just flip the stock ones?

Re: 636 clipons angle

I've been running the vortex flipped on my f4i front end since last summer and definitely love it, they are 7 degrees. Putting a 1krr front end on this week and am throwing a set of 636 clipons on since I have to go to 50mm - upon setting a flipped 636 and flipped vortex on level surface they look to be about the same.

Re: 636 clipons angle

Nick, the vortex unflipped. Were they less angled than the stock F4i clipons?

Re: 636 clipons angle

So I'm thinking I might get the Vortex and leave them unflipped.. I really like the stock clipons but would like the littlest bit more leverage

Re: 636 clipons angle

I just Flipped my Stock 636 Clip ons on it Plus put them on top & they are high as hell, I just dropped the forks down an Xtra 1/4 inch to a total of 1/2 inch. The clip ons only hold on to like halph of their clamping room...... I just got my FI's & want to try them but I broke my Foot peg "Brake Lever" yesterday. Man those things are so thin & Brittle its crazy!!!! I Barely set it down but I was a bit tired I guess. I need a Right foot bracket today!!

flip over your triple clamp and you wont have to push up the forks so far
