600RR vs 636 endos

Which bike is better for endos, 03-04 636, or the 600RRR?

Re: 600RR vs 636 endos

why do you include a year distinction for the 636 but not the RR? 03-04 RR's have conventional forks, 05+ have inverted, all 636's are inverted, so I would think there would be a bigger diff between early and late RR's than there would be between early and late 636's...

05/06 6rr has the inverted forks with the radial mount calipers just like the 636. and theh seat hights are about the same. i have ridden both and didn't notice much of a difference. haven't ridden the 04 6rr though.

I don't really know much about the 600RR, & the difference between the years. I've seen alot of people stunt the 636's but the 600RR seems to be getting pretty popular.

Re: 600RR vs 636 endos

I had a 954 last year and could stoppie it but im pretty light and didnt have a lot of weight to throw forward so the front tire slid a lot. This year Im on an 03 636 and Im amazed at how much easier it is than my old 954. It comes up without throwing my weight at all if the roads decent.
I still want another 954 for the streets though. As far as the 600RR, Ive only ridden one once and didnt mess around on it enough to know if its any better or worse. But the 636 is sweet.

Re: 600RR vs 636 endos

636 has a good setup on the front end... very stable and sturdy. for front end tricks, 636 has it hands down.

Re: 600RR vs 636 endos

nc ryan broke a fork slider, the part at the bottom that the axle and caliper mounts to and fork tube slides into, broke when he landed a highchair.

Re: 600RR vs 636 endos

They break where the chrome tubes are pressed into bottom housing. But I think you can tighten them up from time to time.

Yea, they come loose. Friend of mine just took his off to tighten them and was able to get a nice turn out of them

yup....another reason to remain a honda guy

I spent about 3 hours tonight tweaking the 954 front end on my 03 600rr. Got the front end straight within 1/32", Woodcraft clipons on top, flipped, and turned out just a bit. Hyperpro RSC damper, 06 gix radial front master and handbrake master, moose ez-pull clutch lever, pirelli race takeoff, and stock honda front pads, 1.1 Traxxion fork springs, 15w Motul fork oil ........feels so sick. Love how my bike is set-up right now. Regeared for the street, coasters, and endoes.......this is gonna be a fun summer....or a shitty summer, all depends on the amount of jail time!

Re: 600RR vs 636 endos

the 03 04 636 forks only have a problem if the fork tubes loosen up and if this happens you will see oil spilling out long before they break because they only break if you keep riding them and doing stoppies and slamming down the front end when they are loose if you tighten them up they don't wiggle and hog out the hole they go in ....
