Whats up with this squid thing
iv been outta stunting completly for 1 1/2 years what does this squid thing mean does it mean a new comer or some on who just sucks .if it is about a guy starting that sucks why iinsult him we were all there once and i am now but if its ment of meat heads that dont respect the spot and bring us a bad name i understand .

i dont think there is a definite meaning to the word squid...and theres a thread somewhere around here on what a squid is...its not someone who is just starting off stunting; its someone who does wheelies between cars in LA during rush hour, or someone who does pow-pow wheelies everywhere and refuses to do clutch up because it doesnt buck as much...i dunno

I use it to describe a person that does a Christ with a sleeveless t-shirt on through a neighborhood.
different people use it diff ways, but more or less someone new to riding that isnt as good as they think they are.

thanks 4 clarifying guys and gurl i take it means someone who brings a bad name to our sport by doing stupid stuff while stunting like passing cars centerline in a whelie. thanks agins p.s im not new here iv been here 3 years now i just first heard the word in the euro mags so when it showed up on this site i didnt know it meant the same thing as over there

i think the way the defined it in a bike mag is someone who rides only for the looks or cool factor,or attention and isn't an enthusiest. not some one who rides simply because they love to ride

However...my boys and I call each others squids for fun to make fun of each other....example. I was chillin on my bike in neutral with it runnin, I went to hit the kick stand down but instead hit it in gear. Of course the bike jumped and stalled and I looked stupid in front of everyone. They called it a squid move...
