Does raising your clip-ons that little amount really make such a huge difference? Everyone apparently thinks so...

yes it does...you have more leverage and the more wider it is the more control you have over it

Re: I can't Wait To Try it!!!

I did the same thing yellow did but I didnt flip the clip ons becaue I wasnt sure if it would be okay that the little notches inside the blinker and throttle boxs wouldnt line up in the clip ons. So I guess I can do this with out fear of hurting anything?? Also I think this set up feels WAY better than stock but for some reason it puts more stress on the outer part of my hands, Any susggestions? Thanks

ok, i setup suspensions on race bikes....we adjust suspension by MILLIMETERS. You stated you raised the forks up an inch and a half. that's a huge difference. This effectively decreases the rake/trail of the bike causing it to be highly unstable. it will probably feel like it turns quicker, because it does, but when you get it up to speed it will be unstable, something i wouldn't want to do if you are trying stoppies.

i cringe every time i see a bike with this done, messing with suspension geometry will really screw you over in the end.
