Kawasaki ER6-N

Hello,

I project to buy when i will be 18, a kawasaki ER6-N, In France it's a very good bike, not expansive (5900€ ~ 7900€), the perfect first bike, and a very good stuntmachine

So, i want to know what do you think about ER6-N.

Re: Kawasaki ER6-N

You can stunt anything. It looks light and compact - go for it.

Re: Kawasaki ER6-N

those things look mean as hell for an entry-level bike.

as far as stunting, like Hazen said you can stunt anything but prepare for a lot of clutching because stuning that thing is like stuntin a ex500, you gon have to rev the nuits off of it and drop that clutch and use your weight a lot.

also be ready to fab your own cage and bar for it.

that said, you will stand out from everyone else and it is motorcross bar-ready :YEAH

Re: Kawasaki ER6-N

yo alex I would'nt mind one myself. They do one in an orange over here in the uk with a mettalic flic. I have rode a demo and they lift up nice and easy with standard sprockets on. Front end is a bit spongy would have to revalve/spring them for decent endo's. But other than that i recon good bike. One thing I thought is that the rearsets are one unit and might be a tad on the expensive side to replace but might be able to make some like them out of steel.

have a look at it and by the way cool website

I thought The er6-n was not classed as a v-twin. i know its a twin cylinder but i just heard they was not classed as one just more like a v-twin than a jap-4, but thats just what i heard so i dont know, if they are a v-twin do these have a decent slipper clutch ? like the aprilia , i tried a Tl1000r and the torque was just amazing for wheeling but the back wheel is famous for locking up. If you have any tips on the er6-n and turning it into a stunt machine post here because i am a friend of alex and i will try and explain so he understand's what he would need for it

Re: Kawasaki ER6-N

NOT a v-twin. its got an inline-2, just like an inline-4 minus 2 cylinders

the only V-Twins used for stunting today
are Buells and Ducatis, there's too many problems with oil pressure in cylinders.
The most famous V-twin in europe, the Suzuki SV 650, has proven here
to break quite easily.

Oh, we had an Aprilia RSV1000 Tuono for stunting down here,
no problem whatsoever.
Only issue, that engine is mad as a raging bull. You just can't deal with it.

Re: Kawasaki ER6-N

It's basicly the naked version of the Ninja 650... a beefed up, next gen EX500 is all it is. Ok for a beginner, but you'd be better off getting a 600 that's a couple years older for the same price if your intentions are to stunt.
