not to put anyone down espessially edub who i think is a great rider and even nicer person he had flaws in his run. im not saying his run wasnt good hell it was a great run but with the way the scoring is setup you have bobbles and then you have mistakes or tricks that were tried but not exacuted. ernie tried clutching up wheelies on two seperate attempts and the bike didnt come up thats two mistakes that were deducted right there. coltons run was dam near flawless and he threw in a new trick that was very diffacault. i dont think ernie deserved to place where he did but he also didnt have the best run out there it was a great run but not the best. if anyone wants to dispute it i have all the runs on tape, im just waiting to see if i can post them

E-Dub had a great run! But in all honesty, its not about what the crowd thinks or some guy who murders the street. Its an INDIVIDUAL FREESTYLE comp that has a certain criteria that ALL RIDERS have to meet.

I talked to Edub after his run and he didn't have an arguement. He probably could of scored a little higher with some simple antics and got a higher place, but obviously it didn't work out that way. The CROWD loved him cuz he came in dangerous. And DANGEROUS will sell any crowd along with VIOLENCE and SEX!! If someone like the MILF HUNTER came out and started bangin 2 hot naked chicks, the crowd would go nuts! But XDL is not judging a dangerous freestyle run or porno freestyle run. XDLs judging criteria is based on an ALL AROUND RIDER that knows its not about one trick!!!

There will always be complaints about how judges do this or don't do this. Str8 up from me, this wasn't my first comp to judge and it isn't the first sport I've judged. I grew up competing all my life. I know how judging works and how things need to be.

I've competed in martial arts, dance, car shows, and more. I've judged events in many sports. So, from me to everyone, there will always be an arguement on who did better or what looked better, but those arguements will come down to only ONE THING - - - - PERSONAL OPINION!!!

Judges base their score on a system that has been made by the competitors of the sport. If you don't like it, then don't compete.

I suggest to anyone, that if you decide to compete in ANYTHING, read the rules and guidelines and follow them. That is how you WIN.

quick comment to stir the pot: so bc i washed the front tire out simply turning around in the shitpile of rubber that all you kickstand burnout fiends love to leave, i shouldnt qualify? i was docked my three points and still earned enough points to qualify. people forget it is a freestyle event, not a sickest wheelie event.

you need the hardest stuff in ALL categories to win and then you need to pull those tricks off.

wheelies: nh, hc o's, sick combos
stoppies: 270 or better, 180 both ways, combos
burnouts: speed and style while jumping around the bike..basic figure 8's are exactly that, basic.
acros: rev christ, and some speed stuff....not gay *** christs at a half mph.

not directed at my boy bullo at all, just a comment. i also felt edub coulda scored higher, maybe even higher than me. i discussed my run with G afterwards and in the end i agreed with the scoring for my particular run...i didn't execute very well and missed some variation.

judging sucks...stuntwars was my last go at it.

as for looking away, ever thought that they were discussing something? i dont think the judges are idiots, i think they know what they are doing, i dont thing they are biased....BUT, they are human and it IS an opinion no matter what.

like i said earlier, i argued for a second with G about a variation point (which would have put me in 2nd alone) and he explained his point of view...i saw it, agreed with it, and said thanks for doing a thankless job.

STILL TOO MANY GUYS WHO AREN'T WELL ROUNDED. i dont care how sick your **** is, if you are too basic in one area, it will be tough to win.

i think the criteria is good, but needs tweaking for future comps.

For all u know it alls...After talking to dan and the judge in question.. (and no it wasnt the variation judge like you say bullo)... then talking to all 10 riders.. I let dan on the qualifying list.. nobody seemed to have a problem with it at the event.. but hey they never do have anything to say until they get home on the PC

and just the fact that I even agreed to listen to a rider complaint and address it with the judge and all other riders should make you all feel good

Dan reviewed his run and found out that our variation count was correct. He was one point away from a tie with tenth so he disputed his score and all contestants are welcome too. Then there was an issue with my score as the difficulty judge. Thomas said Dans score was questionable so Dan got the go ahead. I may have made a mistake, people make errors.
