it could be the timing chain tensioner if you hear it on the far right side

I used jb weld to patch a whole in my radiator. Put 1000 miles on it since..
Even made a trip up to omaha on it, 130 miles each way

But that was just a hole that sprayed fluid, not the whole neck..

Re: f4i 02 Problem

take it to a local radiator shop and have it brazed back in, they can do it and it will hold as good as new plus no where near the cost of a new or used one. the rattling noise you are talking about, does it happen when the bike is running or just with the key turned on. if it's with the key on bike not running it obviously the fan, bend it back. get that bastard fixed.

and you were askin if you shoud just go buy a new bike over a noise and a water neck, if so are you sellin it cheap??

Re: f4i 02 Problem

Yeah I dont think JB weld will hold a broken water neck if its totaly broke off, even being properly prepped there is too much heat, pressure and vibration for it to hold. I would say (like the dude before me) take it and get it professionaly fixed.....you have to take the radiator off either way....smaller holes and such can be fixed with JB weld which is holding my rad. together now.
