Wtf!

well, my boy high-sided his 02' f4i at about 40 mph. he's allright, just rashed up good on his right arm and back. the bike wasn't so lucky. it barrel rolled a couple times then slide on its side about 30 ft. left side fairings are trashed, subframe is bent, front clip is not too bad. i know f4i's are tough as sh#t but the frame cracked where i circled an f4i frame in the pic. my boy is gonna fix the bike if this can be welded and made good as new. has anybody ever seen an f4i frame crack there? :crazy sh#t.

I don't see why not.

It is a small weak point. Im sure the subframe is TRASHED, so just consider the amount of force put onto that one bolt area while it was flipping down the pavement. At least the tab wasn't torn clean off, like some other bikes do.

Re: Wtf!

the subframe is twisted garbage. i've just never heard of an f4i frame breaking there. never heard of anyone repairing that spot.

Re: Wtf!

if it rolled that many times and hit and skidded all that time id be glad if that is the only thing that cracked.

It's not hard to break those frames at that point though, subframes always do that if you slam them way to hard.
